What is ToolNest Notes Pad?

ToolNest Notes Pad is a free browser-based note workspace for quick notes, drafts, checklists, ideas and code snippets. It runs entirely in your browser with autosave and offline-friendly writing.

How to use Notes Pad

  1. Click + New Note and give it a title.
  2. Write in plain text or Markdown. Use Preview to render safely.
  3. Switch to Checklist mode for tasks, or Code mode for monospace snippets.
  4. Search, favorite, pin and export anytime — notes stay on your device.

Privacy & storage

Notes are stored in your browser with IndexedDB (with localStorage fallback) so larger notes and more notes are supported. Clearing site data removes local notes.

ToolNest Prime members can sync an encrypted cloud copy for multi-device access. Individual notes never get public URLs and are not indexed by search engines.
